Experiential Learning is a K-6 private elementary school where we strive to be a model for how inclusion can be done well. Our classrooms are comprised of children about 5-9. Our classes are comprised of 8-9 children per class, some of whom are neurotypical and some are neurodivergent. Our goal with the makeup for our classroom is for each child to have the opportunity to learn up and teach down. So, some children may be more skilled socially and they can model these skills to others; other children may excel at math or know a lot about animals, and they can teach these skills to children who may not know these things.
We infuse Applied Behavior Analysis into all of our teaching of all of our students. All students at Experiential Learning have a Personalized Lesson Plan designed with each students learning needs and profile in mind. We fill our students' days with experiential and hands-on activities that are fun, educational and unique. The school is overseen by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with classroom teachers and facilitators having training and expertise in teaching and child development.
